The chiropractor’s term for misalignments is a subluxation, which is a misalignment of the bones that protect the spinal cord. A subluxation occurs when one or more of your vertebra move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate, the spinal nerves that run in-between each of the bones in your spine. Force or irritation on these nerves causes them to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling throughout the nervous system. There are a number of potential contributing factors that can be physical, emotional, mental, or chemical. The subluxation can be caused by any number of incidents, from birth trauma to an auto accident to simple repetition or over-use.
Dr. Guerry uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to seek and treat joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care. Most spinal adjustments are done utilizing the Light touch Activator Adjusting Instrument which gives consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments.
